William Mahfood headlines ICAJ 2019 Business Seminar

william mahfood1Chairman of Wisynco Group Limited, Mr. William Mahfood, will headline a list of dynamic speakers at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) 2019 Business Seminar scheduled for the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Friday, November 8th.  

Mr. Mahfood who is head of one of Jamaica’s leading food and beverage distribution and manufacturing companies, will give the keynote address at the 2019 Business Seminar to be held under the theme “Achieving Growth – Sustaining Viability.”  

The Seminar’s agenda has been designed to place the spotlight on issues affecting businesses in small open economies like Jamaica, and as such, Mr. Mahfood who is a former President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), will give his perspective on the Jamaican business environment and ‘set the pace’ for the day’s discussions by examining some of what he sees as the major tenets of success. He is also expected to give an overview of how businesses can achieve growth and sustainability. 

Other speakers who are confirmed for the ICAJ 2019 Business Seminar include ICAJ Past President Mr. Bruce Scott and Mrs. Michelle Chong, Chief Executive Officer, Honey Bun Limited and also a former President of the Jamaica Exporters Association. They are joined by Mr. Dean Nevers, Managing Director Konnexx Services, Mr. Larren Peart, Chief Executive Officer Blue Dot Data Intelligence, Mrs. Eleanor Jones, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Environmental Solutions Limited and Mr. Chukwuemeka Cameron, Attorney-at-law and Director of Jamaica UAV Limited. 

Among the topics to be covered at the ICAJ 2019 Business Seminar are entrepreneurship in Jamaica, leveraging data analytics to drive growth and sustainability, global turmoil and implications for Jamaica, how trends in technology affect consumer behavior and human versus natural disasters-the race to save the planet.

The ICAJ 2019 Business Seminar will start at 8:00am and end at 5:00pm on Friday, November 8th at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.  Registration is now open to members and non-members of ICAJ.
