Mr. Raphael Gordon (FCA, FCCA, FCMA)

raphaelMr. Gordon is a Partner of both the audit firm of KPMG Peat Marwick and the consulting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick & Partners. He joined KPMG Peat Marwick November 1, 1973 after over six years with British American Tobacco Company Limited.

Mr. Gordon is responsible for the audits of various manufacturing companies, statutory bodies, financial and educational institutions. He has specific responsibilities for the audits of a number of companies, listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

In addition to his administrative and client responsibilities as a Partner, he is a member of Council and the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) 1997-99; Chairman of the Company Law Reform Committee and the Bye-Laws and Handbook Committee and former Chairman and current member of its Audit Practice Committee and PR & Publications Committee.

He is also a member of ICAJ's Continuing professional Education Committee for over 20 years and is a member of ICAJ's Admissions Committee. He is also a member of the EDP Auditors Association, Inc. and Jamaica's lead contact in the KPMG Worldwide Banking and Finance Regulatory and International Corporate Finance Networks a computer audit specialist and statistical audit specialist.

He is a director of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean and Jamaica's representative on The Association of Chartered Accountants' International Assembly. He was appointed as a member of the Public Accountancy Board for a period of three (3) years, with effect from April 1. 2000.
