ICAJ’s Seminar on 'TAXATION - Compliance Measures' (September 08, 2010 @1:00-5:30pm)
E-Filing of CPD - 09, 08 Print E-mail
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) is pleased to advise that it has revised its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) returns form for 2008. The new form which is attached, allows members to submit a declaration as to whether they meet their ethical obligation to maintain knowledge and skill to perform competently.

Members will still be required to maintain evidence of the verifiable as well as non-verifiable CPD undertaken for a period of three years, and a sample of the membership will be audited within 6 months of due date, starting January 1, 2010. The revised CPD guideline is also attached and outlines the disciplinary steps to deal with members’ non-submission and non-compliance with CPD.

We are hereby encouraging persons with outstanding CPD returns up to 2008 to submit same before December 16, 2009. Please note that CPD returns for 2009 are due on January 1, 2010.
